Information we collect

Account & Profile Data

Name, email address, handle, avatar, and authentication tokens you provide when creating or updating an account.

Usage & Device Data

IP address, device type, browser metadata, session duration, pages visited, and in-product actions that help us secure the service.

Conversation Content

Negotiation transcripts, prompts, and evaluation summaries generated during Duels, Scenarios, or training games.

Payment Details

Billing name, email, and plan selections processed via our PCI-compliant payment partners. Full card numbers never touch Prompt Arena servers.

How we use your information

Provide, maintain, and troubleshoot platform features including matchmaking, analytics, and leaderboards.

Personalize content such as recommended scenarios, reminders, and onboarding tips.

Monitor abuse, fraud, and suspicious automation by auditing metadata and transcript cues.

Send administrative updates, security alerts, and promotional messages (you can opt out anytime).

Improve our AI negotiation models by training on de-identified transcripts and aggregated usage statistics.

AI conversation data

Negotiation transcripts may be temporarily routed to third-party large language models to generate opponent responses. Prompt Arena encrypts conversations in transit and stores the official record in our primary database, separate from billing data. Before transcripts are used to improve AI behavior, we remove account identifiers and aggregate the data so it cannot be linked back to you.

Enterprise plans can request transcript retention controls (including automatic deletion windows) by emailingprivacy@promptarena.com.

When we share information

Vendors & Infrastructure

Trusted processors that host our databases, send transactional emails, provide payment rails, and measure product health. They only receive the minimum data required to perform their duties.

Enterprise Workspaces

If you join a company or school workspace, workspace administrators may access analytics tied to your account as outlined in their contract.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose information when compelled by law or when necessary to protect rights, property, or the safety of Prompt Arena users.

Your choices & rights

Access & export: Download game transcripts and billing receipts from your account dashboard.

Update: Edit profile information or payment details anytime within settings.

Delete: Request account deletion by emailing privacy@promptarena.com. We delete or anonymize remaining personal data within 30 days unless legally required to retain it.

Marketing preferences: Use the unsubscribe link inside emails or manage preferences under Notifications.

Data retention & security

Prompt Arena keeps personal information only for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. We employ encryption in transit and at rest, audit access logs, and restrict production data access to vetted team members. If we ever experience a breach, affected users will be notified without undue delay.
